sun salutations

Just had to share this link with all my mama friends...

other uses for baby food freezer trays!

I know I am not the only one who made baby food... and like many, I spent a little extra money on the handy- dandy covered trays to freeze the food in.
The crazy part is that I literally was going through my freezer yesterday and pulled the trays out, cleaned them and stored them away... wondering when I would ever use them again.
When I saw this link (posted on one of my favorite blogs EVER... The Kitchn) I had to share!
I loved making Kenleys food and would highly reccomend it to every mom. It was great knowing where her food came from, knowing it was fresh with all the nutrients still in it and it was even more cost effective.

Also... I had to share this picture from my hike this morning... 6 am came earlier than usual today but I have to say that I do love being up on that hill!

Tomorrow we are doing yoga once we get to the top... nothing like sun salutations while watching it come up!

"Keeping Kenley" .... not in the sense that we chose parenting(thats old news) but instead the idea of being able to her remember, 'keep' her little when she isn't anymore.

Mostly, gathered here are our thoughts and memories from our adventure in Riverside, originally written for our friends and family back home when we missed them most.

Now that we are back home I find myself here, writing about the little things and hope for a time to keep our friends down south updated instead...

Kenley has given me inspiration to write again.

The first post on this blog was right before our big move to southern California (September 2010) with our two month old Kenley. I planned on keeping our close friends and family updated on our happenings in our new city... hundreds of miles from home. I know that some of our happiest memories as a family were there as well our biggest struggles. I cant wait to look back on it all.

For now I am a full time student at Sonoma State studying Kinesiology. I love fitness. I love school. so, it works.

I do part time medical transcription from home. The flexibilty and hours cant be beat.... I work in my sweats.

I blog for/with/ and because I am a young mom... discovering all that requires and curious how other young families do it all. Most of the blogs I follow are young moms that I know (and dont know) .... and in case you were wondering it still seems like none of us have it all figured out yet.

In SoCal I worked at a "crunchy" baby and children's boutique in Redlands called Kissui -(Japanese for: pure & natural) where I fell in love with attached parenting and became a hippy when it comes to raising my babe. I dig cloth diapers, baby wearing, breast feeding, co-sleeping and hit the lotto when Kenley got into the (just-as-hippy) Children's School on SSU's campus.

Kenley is an adventurous little soul and thrives beyond our wildest dreams now that she is in preschool. She amazes us every day with her creativity, intellegence and passion.
